National Institute of Technology Trichy is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology established by the Government of India. Today, NITT is an autonomous co-educational technological institute, with 10 undergraduate and 28 graduate programs. Undergraduate programs lead to the B.Tech degrees, while the graduate students and postgraduate students earn M.Tech, M.S. (by Research) and Ph. D degrees respectively. NITT also has a management and architecture school. NITT is located in Thuvakudi on the Trichy-Tanjore national highway, 17 km from Trichy Railway Junction.

Positions :- Technician/Sr.Technician

Job Location :- Thiruchirapalli (TamilNadu)

Salary :-

• Technician – Pay Level 3 [PB-1 & GP 2000/-]
• Senior Technician – Pay Level 4 [PB-1 & GP 2400/-]

Qualification :-

For Technician :

• Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science form a Govt recognized board with at least 60 % Marks. Or
• Senior Secondary (10+2) form a Govt recognized board with at least 50% marks and ITI Course of one year or higher duration in appropriate trade. Or
• Secondary (10) with at least 60% marks and ITI Certificate of 2 Years or Higher duration in appropriate trade. Or
• Diploma in Engineering of three Year’s duration in relevant field from a Govt recognized polytechnic / Institute.

For Senior Technician :

• Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science form a Govt recognized board with at least 60 % Marks. Or
• Senior Secondary (10+2) form a Govt recognized board with at least 50% marks and ITI Course of one year or higher duration in appropriate trade. Or
• Secondary (10) with at least 60% marks and ITI Certificate of 2 Years or Higher duration in appropriate trade. Or
• Diploma in Engineering of three Year’s duration in relevant field from a Govt recognized polytechnic / Institute.
• Desirable: Bachelor Degree(B.E/B.Tech).

Age Limit :-

• Technician – up to 27 years
• Senior Technician – up to 33 years

• For OBC (NCL) – up to 3 years
• For SC/ST  – up to 5 years
• For PwD (UR) – up to 10 years
• For PwD + OBC (NCL) – up to 13 years
• For PwD + SC/ST  – up to 15 years

• Technician – 30 Posts
• Senior Technician – 15 Posts

Selection Process :-

• Screening of online applications received may be done to restrict the number of applicants to be called for selection process.
• Selection will be based on their performance in Screening Test / Skill Test / Main Written Test
• The shortlisted candidates will be intimated about the interview through e-mail.

• For UR, EWS, OBC (Non-creamy layer) category – Rs.1000/-
• For SC / ST / PwD / Women applicants – Rs.500/-
