National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NIT Rourkela or NITRKL or NITR), formerly Regional Engineering College Rourkela is a publicly funded institute of higher learning for engineering, science and technology located in the steel city of Rourkela, Odisha, India.

It is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India and has been recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007. It is ranked 15 in the NIRF Rankings 2022 of Indian engineering universities.

Positions :- Technician/Senior Technician

Salary :-

• Technician : Rs. 21,700 – 69,100/- pm
• Senior Technician : Rs. 25,500 – 81,100/- pm

Qualification :-

Technician :

• Senior secondary (10+2) with Science from a Government recognized board with at least 60% marks OR
• Senior secondary (10+2) from a Government recognized board with at least 50% marks and ITI Course of one year or higher duration in appropriate trade. OR
• Secondary (10) with at least 60% marks and ITI Certificate of 2 years duration in appropriate trade. OR
• Diploma in Engineering of three year’s duration in relevant field from a Government recognized Polytechnic/Institute.

Senior Technician :

• Senior secondary (10+2) with Science from a Government recognized board with at least 60% marks. OR
• Senior secondary (10+2) from a recognized board with at least 50% marks and ITI Course of one year or higher duration in appropriate trade. OR
• Secondary (10) with at least 60% marks and ITI Certificate of 2 years duration in appropriate trade. OR
• Diploma in Engineering of three year’s duration in relevant field from a Government recognized Polytechnic/Institute.

• Technician : 12 Posts
• Senior Technician : 29 Posts

Upper Age Limit (as on 16.01.2023) :-

• Technician : 27 Years
• Senior Technician : 33 Years
• Age relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/Ex-Serviceman candidates is applicable as per Central Government Rules.

• Skill Test
