DFCCIL Recruitment :

The Indian Railways’ quadrilateral linking the four metropolitan cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Howrah, commonly known as the Golden Quadrilateral; and its two diagonals (Delhi-Chennai and Mumbai-Howrah), adding up to a total route length of 10,122 km comprising of 16% of the route carried more than 52% of the passenger traffic and 58% of revenue earning freight traffic of IR. The existing trunk routes of Howrah-Delhi on the Eastern Corridor and Mumbai-Delhi on the Western Corridor were highly saturated, line capacity utilization varying between 115% to 150%. Railways lost the share in freight traffic from 83% in 1950-51 to 35% in 2011-12.

Thegrowth of Indian economy has created demand for additional capacity of rail freight transportation, and this is likely to grow further in the future. This burgeoning demand led to the conception of the dedicated freight corridors along the Eastern and Western Routes. Minister for Railways, made this historic announcement on the floor of the House in the Parliament while presenting the Railway Budget for 2005-06.

Qualification :-

Junior Manager (Civil) :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.

Junior Manager (Operations & BD) :

• Two (02) years MBA/PGDBA/ PGDBM/PGDM in Marketing/Business Operation/Customer Relation/Finance from a recognized institute with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.

Junior Manager (Mechanical) :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering /Electrical Engineering /Mechatronics Engineering /Industrial Engineering /Production Engineering /Automobile Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Electronics and Communications Engineering/ Electronics Engineering from a recognized institute with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.

Executive (Civil) :

• Diploma (3 years) in Civil Engg/ Civil Engg. (Transportation)/ Civil Engg. (Construction Technology)/ Civil Engg. (Public Health)/ Civil Engg. (Water Resource) from a recognized institute with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.

Executive (Electrical) :

• Diploma (3 years) in Electrical / Electronics /Power Supply/ Instrumentation and Control/ Industrial Electronics/Electronic Instrumentation/Applied Electronics/ Digital Electronics/Power Electronics from a recognized institute with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.

Executive (Signal & Telecommunication) :

• Diploma (3 years) in Electrical/ Electronics/ Microprocessor/TV Engineering/Fiber Optic Communication/ Telecommunication/ Communication/ Sound & TV Engineering/ Industrial Control/ Electronic Instrumentation/ Industrial Electronics/ Applied Electronics/ Digital Electronics/ Power Electronics/ Information Science & Technology/ Computer Application/Computer Engineering/Computer Science/ Computer Technology from a recognized institute with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.

Executive (Operations & BD) :

• Graduation with not less than 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University/Institute.

Executive (Mechanical) :

• Diploma (3 years) in Mechanical/ Electrical/Electronics/Manufacturing/ Mechatronics/Production Engg./ Automobile/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized institute with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.

Junior Executive (Electrical) :

• Matriculation with minimum 60% marks in aggregate plus minimum 02 (two) year duration Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by SCVT/NCVT in the trade of Electrical/Electrician/Wireman/ Electronics from a recognized institute with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.

Junior Executive (Signal & Telecommunication) :

• Matriculation with not less than 60% marks in aggregate plus minimum 02 (two) year duration Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by SCVT/ NCVT in the trade of Electronics/ Communication/ Information Technology/ TV & Radio/ Electronic Instrumentation/ Industrial Electronics/ Applied Electronics/ Digital Electronics/ Power Electronics/ Computer/ Computer Networking/ Data Networking from a recognized institute with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.

Junior Executive (Operations & BD) :

• Matriculation with not less than 60% marks in aggregate plus minimum 02 (two) year duration Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by SCVT/ NCVT in any trade from a recognized institute with not less than 60% marks in aggregate. OR Graduate in any discipline.

Junior Executive (Mechanical) :

• Matriculation with not less than 60% marks in aggregate plus minimum 02 (two) year duration Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by SCVT/ NCVT in the trade of Fitter/Electrician/Motor Mechanic/Electronics & Instrumentation from a recognized institute with not less than 60% marks in aggregate

Age Limit DFCCIL Recruitment :-

• Jr. Manager: 18-27 years
• Executive: 18-30 years
• Jr. Executive: 18-30 years

Upper age limit is relaxable by :

• For SC/ST – 05 years
• For OBC-NCL – 03 years
• For PwBD – 10 years (total 15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC-NCL)

Selection Process :-

Scheme of Examination DFCCIL Recruitment :-

Computer Based Test (CBT) :

• Computer Based Test (Online Mode) will be conducted in two/three sessions on a single/ multiple days of 2 hours duration.
• The question paper for Computer based Test will be Objective Multiple Choice Type having 120 questions
• The Question Paper will be set in English & Hindi only
• There will be negative marking in Computer Based Test and ¼ (0.25) mark marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer

Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) :

• The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. This is applicable to all candidates irrespective of community or category i.e. irrespective of SC/ST/OBC NCL/EWS/PwBD/Ex-SM and no relaxation in the minimum T-Score is permissible.
• Candidates equal to 8 times the number of vacancies of Executive (Operations & BD) for each of the communities i.e. UR, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and EWS (including ExSM) shall be shortlisted for CBAT based on their performance in CBT.
